We're releasing playtesting kits for backers and visiting conventions left and right!
Hello Friends, we hope the first part of your year has been going well! We've been flat out visiting conventions and working on development for Those Who Dare!
Playtest Material Incoming.
We know plenty of you are keen to get your hands on playtesting material to try out Those Who Dare with your game groups. We've had great interest from all around the world, the US and Europe especially! We are currently in the final stages of preparing a v1 playtest material packet.
What should you expect?
These playtest packets will come with all the core rules of the game, character builds and a partial list of all the character traits, talents and perks. Plus a full set of printable character sheets, cards and other material. As time goes on we will release updates and additions to the playtest packets with expanded mechanics and updated material.
We're really looking for feedback on core mechanics, game flow and character sheet designs. We expect that many of the perks and talents will need tuning, and we cant wait to see how players break the game!
CanCon and Conquest Conventions
Over the past few weeks we've attended back to conventions at The Games Expo 2024 and Conquest Convention in Melbourne. The playtesting feedback we've received has been fantastic, and we're thrilled that players have found the game so compelling. The action phase card gameplay and dice mechanics have been touted by playtesters as great advancement in the ttrpg experience.
Art in the works!
As part of our initial pledge to only use authentic, commissioned artwork we've been working closely with our primary artist Danyon Street to develop the art for the corebook. We cant wait to show of some of the designs in the next update or two.
Discord
The best way to get in contact with us, chat about the game and find playtesting sessions is our discord. We encourage both backers and those interested in the game to jump online, hang out and ask questions.
